Omaha Hi Lo, also spelled as Omaha Hi-Lo is a variation of Omaha Hold ‘em, a community card poker game or flop game that is quite similar to Texas Hold ‘em, in which every player is dealt four playing cards, with which he must bet his best hand using exactly two of them, plus precisely three of the five community cards.
In Omaha Hi Lo, also referred to as Omaha Eight-or-Better, every player in the game makes a separate five-card high and five-card ace-to-five low. To qualify for low, there must be a minimum of three cards of differing ranks eight or below on the board. These hands can be very expensive.
